5. Power UP Conversions to Factory Turbo Diesel engines with Mechanical Fuel Injection

Mass produced vehicles with Turbo Diesel engines come with a large variance in power and torque in visually equal vehicles.  Our Dyno measurements have shown up to 40% difference on new vehicles of equal make and model.  On some engines a retune process does not create the same results as a good standard vehicle, which then creates the need for a power up conversion which usually involves a larger capacity exhaust system, moderate boost increase and a major tune up to the engines.  This process will normally give 20% to 40% increase in power and torque at the drive wheels.  In vehicles with a 5 speed manual transmission a 20% increase in torque will allow 1 gear taller to be used and 2 gears taller if 40% gain was created.
